POST DOCTORAL RESIDENT/PRE DOCTORAL INTERN
Job Posting
The Neurology, Learning and Behavior Center is seeking a full time post doctoral resident and full time pre doctoral intern in the fall of 2019 in a busy neuropsychology/school psychology practice evaluating nearly 500 children and 200 adults per year with a broad range of neurological, emotional, developmental and behavioral problems. Sam Goldstein, Ph.D., the Center’s Clinical Director, is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Attention Disorders, a Pediatric Board Certified Neuropsychologist, Certified School Psychologist and Fellow of both the American Psychological Association and National Academy of Neuropsychology. Typical duties will include spending part of the time serving as a neuropsychology psychometrician to Dr. Goldstein to gain experience, as well as conducting independent evaluations, consultation, parent support and psychotherapy. The Center also sees a small number of adults with histories of genetic and neurological disorders. Post doctoral residents are asked to make a commitment of two years, the first year involving significant assessment and the second year beginning to work cases independently, including training in forensics. There is also an opportunity to assist with the Journal of Attention Disorders, ongoing research, test development as well as co-authoring invited book chapters and, in some cases, co-editing textbooks. The Center is actively conducting research on a number of Dr. Goldstein’s tests, including those involving virtual reality, a computer based neuropsychological assessment and behavioral observation. Salary is competitive with an allowance provided for health insurance. Given the size of the Center, health insurance is not directly provided. Interested parties should submit a vita and letters of recommendation to Kathy Gardner at kathy@samgoldstein.com
